Sports Medicine Report is’s look at the latest health update regarding the team ahead of upcoming matches and is presented by The Sports Medicine Center at Children’s Mercy. All health issues listed are from the teams’ official player availability reports submitted approximately 48 hours prior to kickoff.
Sporting Kansas City (17-8-7, 58 pts.) closes out their road slate tonight with the team’s first-ever trip to take on Austin FC (8-20-4, 28 pts.) at Q2 Stadium in Texas. Sporting can reclaim top spot in the West and secure a top-two finish with a win, also qualifying for the 2022 Concacaf Champions League in the process.

In addition, defender Amadou Dia will miss the match as he serves a one-game suspension handed down from the MLS Disciplinary Committee earlier this week. Sporting KC midfielder Felipe Hernandez is suspended for the remainder of the 2021 season.
