UPDATE (WKOW) — Lanes of WIS HWY 33 reopened after a crash near Portage.
According to DOT, the westbound lanes reopened around 7:10 p.m. Lanes were closed less than an hour while the scene was cleared.
PORTAGE (WKOW) — Authorities responded to a crash near Portage that closed westbound lanes of WIS HWY 33 Friday night.
Columbia County Communications officials said they received a call about a crash on WIS HWY 33 at Main Street Road around 6:30 p.m.
Crews with the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, the Portage Fire Department and EMS teams responded to the incident.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT), the westbound lanes of WIS HWY 33 are closed at Main Street Road. Officials expect the closure to last two hours.
